Bayline local
Title:  Bayline local
Description:  The Bayline local is passing through Headland with a pair of recently repainted former AN units. Pay no attention to David Smith coming out of the conductors door. He is an old friend and a big character in the Dothan railroading scene. His sometime scorn of railroading is matched only by his love of the Rolling Stones and the Crimson Tide.

Georgia Southwestern local
Title:  Georgia Southwestern local
Description:  The GSWR northbound local is seen on former SAL trackage at Arlington GA. About 200 yards further north they will cross the NS Hilton district mainline. Just on the other side of the road they are crossing is the north leg of the wye that connects to the NS. The signal they are passing is an out of service approach signal that protected the SAL/CofG crossing.

Title:  CIRR shops

CIRR shops
Title:  CIRR shops
Description:  Close up on GP15-1 still proudly wearing the AN paint scheme. GWI operates the Bayline, CIRR, as well as former CofG trackage between Dothan and Hilton which allows the 3 roads to form a single line from Cedar Springs GA to Panama City FL. The AN is not connected to any of the 3 but is close enough that excess power from the AN has found it's way to the Dothan AL area.

Meeting of GWI roads
Title:  Meeting of GWI roads
Description:  The Chattahoochee Bay local from Dothan arrives behind a single SW1500 putting all it's tractive effort into bringing it's train up the hill out of the Chattahoochee River valley. A pair of GP38's await on the CIRR mainline. The CIRR power was used to move a coal train to Cedar Springs the day before. They will swap and the SW1500 will return to it's normal work area on the CIRR while the GP38's will go back to holding down the Dothan to Hilton turn.

GWI power
Title:  GWI power
Description:  Old paint scheme meets new paint scheme in the CIRR yard at Hilton. The corporate unit appears to be a GP40 (3 exhaust fans) but is actually considered a GP38. It is stenciled as a GP38 and I remember hearing that it had been derated to a GP38. It does not have a turbocharger as evidenced by the sound when you are near it.
