Hilton and Albany RR
Title:  Hilton and Albany RR
Description:  The Hilton and Albany RR displays some color with a trio of SD40-2's in various schemes. A corporate orange/black leads as a unit in a GM scheme that formerly operated on fellow GWI road the Georgia Southwestern and a former BN unit now stenciled HLCX brings up the rear. The HLCX will probably soon get a coat of orange/black at the nearby CIRR shops in Cedar Springs GA.

Roster shot
Title:  Roster shot
Description:  The most recent addition to the GWI lines, The Columbus and Chattahoochee, is represented here in the form of a former BN SD40-2. The C&C will soon begin operating over former CofG/NS trackage between Columbus GA and Mahrt AL. This unit recently received it's orange and black paint scheme at the nearby CIRR shops at Cedar Springs GA. Apparently the HAL RR is using it between Hilton and Albany to work out any bugs that may crop up before sending it to Columbus.

A trio of SD40-2's
Title:  A trio of SD40-2's
Description:  An impressive show of power for a short line is seen here in the form of a trio of SD40-2's. The HAL normally operates with a pair of SD40-2's so the third one is probably headed to one of the other GWI lines in the area. The middle unit is stenciled for the Chattahoochee and Columbus which may give a hint on where it might be headed.

Hilton and Albany local
Title:  Hilton and Albany local
Description:  Todays Hilton and Albany RR local is about to leave Hilton GA with 7 locomotives. Three of their own, including a SD40-3 in the CEFX scheme, and four NS locomotives. One pair of NS locomotives had brought down a coal train to Hilton GA while the other set are returning from carrying a rock train to Panama City FL. Yes boys and girls...regular unit coal and rock trains along with numerous industries along the line and NS gives up and leases the line to GWI....go figure.
