Three Notch RR logo |
Description: |
The GWI corporate scheme is seen on a recently repainted unit that has been stenciled for the Three Notch RR which operates 36 miles of former L&N trackage between Georgiana and Andalusia AL. GWI changed the logo a bit with this unit. Between the "T" and the "N" where the trackage is seen usued to be against an orange background. Now it appears to be a map of the state of Alabama. Credit railfan Charles Burgess with first noticing this change. |

Three Notch unit being used on the CIRR |
Description: |
One of the latest units to get a coat of orange and black at the CIRR shops in Cedar Springs has actually spent some time working on the CIRR rather than quickly leave the property. Perhaps some mechanical work was also recently performed and GWI wnats to make sure all the bugs are worked out before sending it to an isoloated line where getting it to/from GWI's shop involves costly moves over CSX. |
