Utah Railway unit seen
Title:  Utah Railway unit seen
Description:  This Utah Railway locomotive was recently seen in the CSX yard in Dothan AL. Several fellow G&W roads operate in the area so the destination of this locomotive could be a number of roads in the Dothan area. Or perhaps the shops in Panama City FL.

NS local
Title:  NS local
Description:  The NS Hilton district has coupled onto their train and is about to pull it into a yard track. They will then gather up Albany bound cars for the trip back to Albany. They have already taken the EOT off and have it hung in the coupler of the 5535. It will ride here until they start getting the eastbound train together.

Work train
Title:  Work train
Description:  A NS work train is seen at Hilton GA. It is being widely reported that GWI will soon takeover operation of this line from Albany GA to Hilton GA. NS has been busy the past few weeks gathering up crossties and any type track equipment. I would assume this is in regards to the impending takeover by GWI and NS is removing anything they can use elsewhere.

Last NS power
Title:  Last NS power
Description:  This is the last NS power I was able to photograph in Hilton before GWI took over operations of the line the first of 2012. The locomotives are tied up in the passing track and we are looking east toward Albany in this shot.
